About Denverdocsoc

With “Denverdocsoc” we trail blaze again as Denver’s only non-profit providing current, year round documentary programming. Our cause is to further the outreach and impact the genre has on humanity. Along with that, we will create a movement around documentary film in Denver. And mobilize people around our screenings, events and speakers.

We stand for the underdog. Independent filmmaking. Civil rights. Social justice. The environment. Music. Resilience. We prefer gathering at a theater, rooftop, patio, classroom or pop-up setting. Where we can interact and gather in-person to share in its message and its art.

We have seen this dusty old cowtown turn into a tech city. In keeping with our independent and innovative spirit, we think data and tech can provide solutions to the issues around civil rights, the environment and social justice. We hope to connect with the tech community and see if we can collaborate on digital solutions to some of the many issues at play. 

We promise to accomplish all of our efforts with leadership, integrity, disruption and a well deserved notoriety for having fun.
